Devore fabric is created by weaving silk fibers with rayon fibers. The rayon fibers are then burned away using an sodium bisulfate (a mild acid) and heat leaving a pattern in the silk fabric. Burn-out velvet is made pretty much the same way.
The dye in this scarf tinted the satin twigs with green while making the background brown. It will make a great accent piece to upir wardrobe. It
