Devoré, also called burnout, is process used on mixed material fabrics, usually silk and rayon. Chemically reactive gels are used to dissolve the rayon fibers leaving a solid pattern against a translucent background.
The sweeping Art Nouveau pattern in this scarf flairs with reds, orges, yellows and black.
Scarf measures 11 x 60" plus 9" of silk fringe
Hand dyed with non-toxic, eco-friendly pigments, fixatives, and techniques.
Hand wash using gentle soap or shampoo. Hang to dry. May be ironed.
