Devore fabric is created by weaving silk fibers with rayon fibers. The rayon fibers are then burned away using an sodium bisulfate (a mild acid) and heat leaving a pattern in the silk fabric. Burn-out velvet is made pretty much the same way.
This teal blue background is shot through with marroons and rust with a starry night pattern.
Measuring 8"x54”, it gives a stellar accent piece to any outfit, and also be used as a headband or sash.
Hand dyed with non-toxic dyes and natural fixatives.
Hand wash with cold water and mild soap, hang dry. May be ironed.
